Povestiri din Rajahstan 33. Cazare in Bundi / Stories of Rajahsthan 33. Accommodation in Bundi

What I liked most in Bundi Haveli were the little inner courtyards where you may sit and seep a tea or coffee and read a newspaper. Well choosen objects and paintings adorned the walls on the halls, and in the room. A nice gokhra offered a space for leisure and street observation.

In the morning, everything was ready for the tourists. One of the neighbours asked the man if he knows how to prepare a certain omelette and he responded with dignity: "I have a cook certificate from the special course in Jaipur"! The manager of the hotel was a British lady.

But what I really admired was the perspective from the roof-top restaurant toward the little artificial lake Nawal Sagar, and toward the Taragarh fort and the Bundi Palace.

 coridor interior, in stil indian

Mai sunt cateva de aratat, VertAnge :)

Thank you, Beatriz! Please come again, if you like.

I love Barcelona and I will write about it too :)

The gokhra, under the windows was a great place but we had only half a day in Bundi, as in the majority of the places we visited. Almost all the places were we stayed have been great but not expensive.

To sit and seep a tea or coffee and read a newspaper are some of my favorite things to do when I'm out of town. And if you're surrounded by well chosen objects and paintings, that's a major factor of rating a hotel for me.

The third to the last photo looks like Great Wall of China.

I love looking at your photos, my friend. I've travelled India for many months now because of you.

What a beautiful place. I love the view in the last photo.

The pics of Fort Taragarh look like the great wall in China. What is gokhra?

Traveling Hawk said...

Thank you, Rizalenio, for the comment! Those factors are important for me too when I choose a hotel. This time, the hotels have been picked up by the travel agency, so they did a great job!

The view from the roof top was very nice indeed, Randy, especially toward the sunset.

Traveling Hawk said...

Hanjie, a gokhra is a space under the window, especially made for leisure, with a lot of pillows. It was intended for women, who didn't have so much liberty and spent their days looking on the window, between jhalis, some beautifully carved screens. To see but not to be seen...

In my Translator there is "Select Language",next is a small triangle within a square.
If you Click in a little triagle, open a catalog of languages and you choose your language. Then my blog is automatically translated in the language you chose. It's simple!

But i have a idea : If you use Google Chrome, you will have automatic Translator.
Mozilla Firefox doesn't have translator.

Interesant hotelul! :)

Traveling Hawk said...

VP, I was not up to the fort. We visited only the palace because we have been warned that the monkeys there are not so friendly. Even at the palace one of them wanted to atack me.

Traveling Hawk said...

Magda, I know what to do but if I make a click on the small triangle appears again "select language". It worked before, because I read the other posts.

I use Mozilla.

A comprehensive and variety post full of interest. The courtyard seems a nice place to relax.

Have a nice weekend!

Happy weekend. :)

I do not know if it was the best but it was a good one :)

I was not at home the last 2 days and I had not my laptop with me. I saw at TV and heard you had a tsunami alert in Philippine. Is everything OK? I hope so!

I deeply thank for your warm heart and thoughts...

From Japan, ruma

Traveling Hawk said...

You are welcome, Ruma! Don't mention it!

RIZALENIO said...

Thank you very much for your concern, my friend. I really appreciate it.

Thank God our country was spared from Tsunami. All tsunami alerts are now lifted here in the Philippines.

Last Friday, every one was so worried and crying watching the news about JAPAN and the possible tsunami that might hit our country. It was the worst feeling.

Thanks again, my friend. Let's all pray hard and be safe.

You are welcome, Rizalenio! It's normal to be concerned about people, even if you know them only virtual.

As fi fost curios sa stiu cum e mancarea in India.

Foarte bune. Atat! In rest, salam si branza topita de acasa + paine pentru prajit, cumparata acolo, in pachete sigilate.
