Romanian cuisine has enough Balkanic influences, so the food seems no different when we visit our neighbouring countries.
Our neighbours eat a lot of meat, like Romanians do, so the famous "cevapcici" , called in Romania "mititei" and considered here a traditional dish, are to be found everywhere. Like pizza, which became international. Every location at the seaside has a lot of pizza shops. The Turkish doner chebab can be eaten in every location too, especially in Ulcinj, near Albanian border.
Our drink was mainly the mineral water, as we both drive, taking turns. The best seems to be Kneaz Milos. In the evening, on the terrace of the villa where we had accommodation, we didn't refuse a glass of white wine, which came along with the beautiful sunsets on the sea...
The prices are, more or less, similar with those in Romania but certainly lower than in Western Europe. For example, a lunch for two, but having as drinks only lemonade, has been 24 euros but a dinner for two, with fish, in a specific restaurant came to 37 euros. But that was the only "excess' we made, as we like to eat more simple, spending the money for visiting cultural and historical places, instead.

calcanul ajuns in farfurie
cea mai raspandita apa minerala in Muntenegru
recomandat: vin alb, demisec
Restaurant Grande, Ada Bojana, Ulcinj
Restaurant Antigona, orasul vechi, Ulcinj
Restaurant Voda u Krsu, langa Sotonici

A gastronomic tour of Montenegro seems to be an interesting and quite unexpensive option!
Yes, it is, VP!
Haha, deci micii nu-s autentici? :D
Not much for vegetarians, but foods looks really yummy and fresh!
I would love wine in the evenings!
By the way, you have splendid wine in Romania!
Yes, Joo, our wines are very good, many kind of wines, many vineyards but they are less known outside the country. I am glad you appreciated it.
Looks like a fun place. Think I will skip the fish dish but the others look great!
I am not a great fan of fish either, but that is one I am eating, the plaice.
I want to be here. The servings of the food are big. Love the interior of that restaurant.
It's a rustic restaurant, near a river, Rizalenio. Ducks came on water, near us, and we fed them bred.
It's always good to have nice food on holiday but sometimes it's worth throwing in a budget meal in order to stretch the money a little further in things that one may not see again. I must say that this is most unusual looking food to what I'm used to.
It's my idea too about using the travel budget. The food is characteristic for this zone.
