Itinerar albanez 6. Kruja / Albanian Itinerary 6. Kruja

Kruja is at only 32 km from Tirana. Here was erected a fortress in the V-VI-th centuries, and in the XV-th century it was organised the resistance against the Ottoman army. This is the place were Skanderbeg, the national hero, lived.

The fortress doesn't exists anymore, there are only some ruins but a copy was built, which houses a small museum. The best pieces in the museum are Skanderbeg's helmet and sword.

In the same courtyard, an XVIIIth century building houses an interesting Ethnographic Museum.

We didn't have much time, so we browsed a little through the Old Bazaar and did some photos of the Skanderbeg's equestrian statue.

Muzeul a fost inaugurat in 1982.

Bine te-am gasit, te-am pus si in blogroll :-)

Frumoase papusi traditionale :). Poti, te rog, cand scrii preturile, sa pui in paranteza un echivalent in RON?
