Plimbare in jurul Parlamentului / A Walk Around the Parliament

Kossuth Lajos Square is another nice place in Budapest, near the Parliament House. Not many people there, and most of them on benches or lying in the grass, in the sun. The Parliament is one of the most photographed objective in Budapest. It looks wonderful, especially from the other side of Danube, due to its dimensions and the stone lace.

In the little park there are some statues: a red stone of Lajos Kossuth, the revolutionary, one dedicated to the poet Jozsef Atiila (1980), a king whose name a couldn’t see, and a monument for the vicitims of the 1956 revolution.

Two other monumental buildings in eccelctic style are vis-à-vis to the Parliament.

The actual Ministry for Agriculture and Regional Development, built in 1885, and the Ethnografic Museum, finished in 1896.

Hauszmann) pentru Ministerul Justitiei si, pana in 1949 a adapostit Curtea Suprema. Constructia a fost terminata in 1896.

Wonderful, Traveling Hawk. I want to do what you wrote here - lying in the grass under the sun. I hope I'll be able to do that this weekend. The parliament is so beautiful. So beautiful.

Happy weekend, my dear friend. I love all the photos esp the last one. I'm hooked on that last scene.
