Arigato, Japonia! 41. Templul Nison-in din Arashiyama / Arigato, Japan! 41. Nison-in Temple in Arashiyama

Nison-in is more visited during late autumn, in momiji time, when the tens of shades of the leaves are a true show.

It was founded in 841, and it is famous for the two Buddha's figures: Shaka-Nyorai, who looks after our souls during our present life, and Amiba-Nyorai, who looks after them in our future lives. Both come from the Heian era.

There are also some nice fusuma, painted door panels, in the main hall. In the backyard it is a cemetery where emperors and members of the imperial family are burried.

Templul Nison-in este cautat de turisti mai ales toamna tarziu, cand incepe sezonul de admirat artarii, momiji, ale caror frunze capata atunci culori minunate, in zeci de nuante.

Mi-as dori sa ma pot intoarce o data toamna acolo sau in Coreea de Sud. Deocamdata insa imi indrept atentia spre Asia Centrala:)

Multumesc pentru vizita, badger!

I can't believe how close the stones are in the old part of the cemetery.
