I may say that we visited the Beijing Capital Museum only by chance. We were on our way to the Temple of the White Clouds, when I saw this modern building. It rained heavily, so we decided to enter for a while. The amazing interior was revealed right from the beginning by the modern architecture. This building was finished on 2006. The museum has 5 stores on the ground and 2 underground. A number of 5622 items are exposed. The reception hall is 2000 sq.m. big and 34 m height. There are many antique collections to be seen but with a limited time at our disposal we concentrated on the porcelain antique collection, the imperial clothes collection, some incense burners, and then the wonderful antique Buddhist statues. We only stayed there two and a half hours but it was an amazing experience. You may go there by metro line 1, Muxidi station. Entrance fee is less than 3.50 euros. Visiting time: Tue-Sun - 9-17.

Are 5 etaje la suprafata si 2 subterane. Holul imens in care am intrat are 2000 metri patrati si o inaltime de 34 m.

Abia asteptam urmatorul episod!
Iti doresc numai bine!
Salutari!
What an amazing building with interesting historical objects.
J_on_tour, this museum has most valuable objects. I have seen just a small part of them as we didn't disposed of much time but it sure is worth a visit!
Dar daca ne-a aparut in drum si era si o zi ploioasa ?! Si nu am regretat :)
super! cum termin cu doctoratele imi fac cadou o excursie in China neaparat...
Asa sa faci, Ami! Ma bucur sa te aud, mi-ai lipsit :) Daca iti place subiectul, urmareste-l in continuare. Mai scriu despre el pana in 15 decembrie, apoi plec in India.
A place so huge and modern, full of wonderful and ancient things...
Yes, this makes you wonder why do we have so many misconceptions?! I heard people saying: "I don't want to go there because, beside strictly the historical things, is nothing more to be seen" And this is obviously wrong.
Quiet a huge museum. The items on display are amazing.
I agree, Rajesh, it's an impressive museum. Thank you for visiting my blog.
Great combination of modern architecture and such amazing objects!
Well done as usally!
Have a great week ahead:)

Beautiful place ...!
Yes, it is. Thank you for visiting, JOTA ENE!
Thank you, Joo! I give my best to put together interesting presentations :) I wish you a good week, too.
a wonderful museum with a great collection of ancient things. love the intricate details. it must be amazing to see all these in person.
I wonder, how I will feel, when I get the chance to visit Beijing. I'm fascinated with the Chinese culture, but I'm a big critic of the current regime. It will be a surreal experience. Visiting museums will be a must.
You are right, Life Ramblings!! It's a different experience to be there or to see them in an album. being there you have a better feeling that those things belong there and only there.
MKL, if you want to enjoy China, you have to do the difference between the political regime and the history and culture of a great nation. It is difficult to forget many aspects but I am sure you know this. It's the same thing I did when I visited states from former Soviet Union...
Love looking at all these photographs. The characters interest me. I want to google all of them and read about them.
Thanks for sharing this to us, and it triggers us to have interest in knowing more about these statues.
I'm sure you will find a lot of information on google, our friend :)
