Vacanta in Muntenegru 10. Plajele din Ulcinj / Montenegrin Vacation 10. The Beaches of Ulcinj

Ulcinj has 33 km coastline of which 18 km are beaches: sandy, with pebbles, rocky. One for everybody. We visited only five of them and I show you now photos from there.

The Great Beach (Velika Plaz) has 12 km of fine sand but very many tourists! Way too many for my taste, so we only visited shortly, when we came back from a day trip to Shkoder, in Albania. Then, the Little Beach (Mali Plaz), with only 650 m, is in the center of the town and it is closed at 6 p.m. I was impressed by the fact that they clean it immediately. Liman I beach is a little, romantic one, with pebbles. May be Liman II is a little larger but it is a concrete beach, not very inviting in my opinion.

The beach I really liked because it is something of the air of a Greek beach there, is the Valdanos Beach. To reach it, one has to pass by some wood vacation houses called "kolibe", through an olive grove, and I love olive trees! I am fascinated by their trunks. On our way home, we also saw some old graves in a Muslim graveyard.

(Orasul albanez era foarte aproape de Ulcinj, asa ca am hotarat sa il vizitam cat eram inca in Muntenegru, fiindca in ziua in care ne-am indreptat spre locatia din Albania unde urma sa mai stam o saptamana, nu am fi dispus de atat de mult timp.)
 Plaja Mare
Lucrul acesta m-a impresionat in mod placut.
 Plaja Mica
 Liman I

Interesting trees. Love the beach shots too.

Plajele sunt mai salbatice asa. Totul imi aduce aminte a spatiu in care n-a ajuns inca prea multa civilizatie :).

In schimb cimitirul e interesant.

Thanks, Randy! Have a nice day!

frumoase trunchiurile "chinuite".

Asa cred si eu, pharaonx. Va trebui sa le cautam in cele mai izolate locuri.

Foarte interesante monumentele funerare turcesti. Asa ceva am vazut in Balcic si mi-au placut foarte mult.
Frumos surprinse imaginile printre maslini.

Well, they are not exactly by the beach, there are still 3-4 km but they are near enough.

Traveling Hawk said...

Da, e acelasi peisaj ca in Croatia, Cartim!

Life, as they say, is better at the beach. Looking at your photos now, it's a huge confirmation. Love the photos with sunshine in the sea. Love the unique-looking trees too.
