Calator in Thailanda 1. Sa incepem cu....sfarsitul / Traveller in Thailand 1.Let's begin with the...end!

I choosed to start with the end of my vacation because in Kiev we experienced a crispy winter morning, with a deep blue sky and bright sun, and the trees adorned with white frost. Till my story will be finished, the winter will be gone, so I wanted to show you those photos now.

I started to make plans for our vacation in Thailand since last April, when I bought the flight tickets. We traveled with the Ukrainean company AEROSVIT, starting from Budapest airport, Hungary. Because the company changed the flight programme twice, we had to spend a night in Kiev at each flight (on the expenses of the company, of course). I have been to Kiev many years before but I still wanted to see a little of the city. But it happens that we couldn't do this. On our way to Thailand it was a dull, cold, foggy afternoon and few hours left. When we came back, we were already tired by the 11 hours flight and decided to stay in the hotel. Next morning was a glorious one and we walked a little around the hotel, and took some photos. Those I want to share with you today.

In aprilie anul trecut imi faceam deja planuri pentru Thailanda.

Cand a sosit ziua plecarii spre Thailanda, in Bangkok lucrurile reintrasera in normal.

A doua zi am plecat spre Bangkok.

Welcome back! Si din centru din Kiev, nimic? :)

Thank you, Doug! I wish my travels in 2012 should be fun but, except for one, I do not know for know the destinations...

It was a very rewarding walk, Randy. Cold, but so peaceful, even if the highway was very near.

Kumiko, Ukraineans - like the Russians - are very religious people. It was only the communist regime which interdicted the open celebration of the important days for the Christianity, like Christmas or Easter, for example. They do not have this problem anymore now.

Multumesc!

Beautiful frosty scenes never seen here in our tropics! :-)

I feel for you about losing your pets, especially the third, so young. We had a Doberman for eight years who never grew out of being a lovable puppy, despite the breed's ferocious reputation. I shed tears when we had to put him to sleep too.

Thank you Francisca, for feeling with me! I feel that Nero's deathe is such a waste! He was a nice doggy, who loved us a lot.
